These lovely little chairs featured as my volume piece on, Make It At Market.  I originally made one for my young nephew and he loved it so much they have become one of best selling items.

I have created these to be 'My First Chair'.  They are the perfect height for toddlers and meant to be used.  They can be used as a display piece for years to come and I like to think they can be handed down for generations to come.

Made entirely from locally sourced beech hardwood, using traditional woodworking tools and techniques (as demonstrated on Make It At Market).  Due to being completely bespoke items sizes and wood colourations may differ slightly from the photos.

These chairs are customisable and I can add carved initials or numbers to the back of the backrest (up to 6 characters).

Beautifully crafted first chair

It’s a lovely chair—beautifully crafted and clearly made with care. One of the main reasons I purchased it was because, on the BBC show, it was highlighted that the chair was manually crafted. I’ve noticed that some mechanical tools are now used in the process, which slightly changes the narrative for me.

It would have been a wonderful touch to have a Matt Reeves Design logo subtly engraved on the chair. It’s a special piece, and a mark like that would make it even more meaningful and distinct.

Brilliant Amazing

My granddaughter had tears in her eyes when she saw her new baby boy's chair she loves it . The workmanship is outstanding I just cannot say how fantastic it is . I am definitely buying other items .
