Bar stools are one of my favourite items of furniture to make. After several years of honing my designs I am now pleased to offer you three seat designs with customisable options to help you create your perfect bar stools.
Each bar stool is handmade using traditional tools like the adze, scorp, and travisher. The thoughtfully crafted contours and ergonomic design provide natural comfort, making these stools a supportive and stylish addition to any setting.
Each bar stool seat is made from locally sourced Ash timber and features contrasting oak wedges. This style of chair making techniques has been around for hundreds of years and I pride myself with carrying on the tradition.
Ash wood has a large variety of beautiful colour combinations from light to deep olive shades. Before starting any order I will email you examples of the timber I have in stock to make sure it is the correct colour for your tastes.
Ebonising finishes is a process of adding an iron acetate solution (a home made concoction of vinegar and wire wool) which leaves a lovely dark stain on the timber while still allowing the grain characteristics to show through.
You are able to choose from the following options when designing your stools:
Seat shape - Saddle, Round or Half Moon
Wood Finish - Natural or Ebonised
Number of legs - 3 or 4
Leg Taper
Seat Height

As these are made to order please allow for a make time of around two weeks depending on my schedule. I will always contact you to keep you updated throughout the build process to keep you up to date.
